I liked the show, however it's effect on my boyfriend has been a bad one. He now wants to BUY a Scottish Fold.

Anybody know anything about "Cats 101?" What's it about?
I was just on my way here to post the same thing. Sounds like a good show which will be 7:00 Central. I do not remember all the featured breeds but I know Persi is excited because one of the featured breeds is Himalayan. I do remember Maine Coon and Siamese also.I have my recorder ready!

Thank you, all you wonderful people that kept me from missing the greatest thing I have ever seen on TV! Wow, it was absolutely amazing. And I had the wisdom to record it. I hope that things are going to advance to Cats 102, 201, and 202. Well Persi is satisfied. Except for one thing. Persi is registered with the CFA as a Persian cat. Not a Himalayan. Himalayan is a color acccording to the CFA. And he is that; a seal point. Of course, Persi never fails to point things out. That it why I love him so much.

WOW - I had no idea cats licked themselves to regulate their body temperature!! That is clever genetic instincts!

I just discovered this show. I am watching an ancore of last week's show and there is another one afterword. I love the ragdolls.

I can't believe that they are making purses out of cat fur!

This is to funny! I also caught this show tonight, and said to myself "ohh' ohh, Cats 101, yey! Dogs 101 is cool, so this is going to be awesome!" AND IT IS! Personal accounts and factual information of 101 different breeds of cats! Some absolutely beautiful cats as well, ofcourse not as beautiful as Maia

I can't figure out why she's making purses. Why doesn't she make sweaters? Or scarves?

i had to laugh, tho, about the 'M' on the Maine Coon's forehead being for 'Maine Coon' - by that reasoning, Cable & Firefox are both Maine Coons!

Ya, that was the one thing that bothered me. The "M" is a mark of a tabby cat (which is a color, not a breed) and even on that episode, the Maine Coon, Egyptian Mau, and several of the other cats they showed also had the "M" including some of the Oriental/Siamese cats. DH now thinks that Wickett is part MC which is funny because last week he was teasing me about thinking that he's every LH breed I see.

I had to laugh at the M also

Great show though. I plan to watch it every week as long as its on
My bf is in love with the Egyptian Mau's now though! For me, I still want a giant fluffy Maine Coon and a Turkish Angora

Don't all of these breeds come in a tabby color? (although in the pointed cats they call it Lynx, am I right?)
