My 8 month old has been knawing at the corners of my coffee table and on one of my cactus plants. Is this teething or a behavior problem? Any suggestions on what to do? Should I get him a rawhide bone or something? I don't remember my other cats doing this as kittens.

You can get him a kitty kong (like a dog kong toy) and I think you put treats in it to "incentivize" chewing on the correct things. Try looking online... or your local pet store.
And yes, some cats chew...
Oh, and put something bad tasting where he IS chewing now - like bitter apple ... also available at pet stores. That may help, but you would need to give him an alternative if his urge is that strong.
