After a couple sleepless nights, I came home early from school... not feeling well.
When I woke up, it was just getting light out
and I was surprised that I had slept through the night!

Well, it turns out that I hadn't slept through the night. The sun was setting! And I had only been napping about 4 hours!

OMG
I totally hate when that happens! It is the weirdest feeling. My advice is to take a pill and go back to sleep.....you won't feel right again till you do.....horrible feeling. *shudder*

That happened to me once. I was in high school and I woke up and the clock said 6:30. I flew out of bed and ran around the house looking for my mom, and freaking out because I was going to be late for school. I started calling her cell phone because I couldn't figure out why she left without me. She was like "uh, I'm on my way home with your dinner...?".

I've done that before
I actually called in "late" to work once, and they told me it was PM, not AM

They also told me to drink a beer and go back to sleep

Yup, I've done that too. It's nice, though, when you realize you've got a whole evening ahead that you thought you'd missed!

I did that a couple of times in high school. Once I got up and wondered why everyone was awake so early in the morning and then I realized it was like 6pm not am.
