A while ago, my husband was in the bathroom and the kitties came to visit (they always want to be where we are!) so he set Reilly in the bathtub and turned on the water where there was just a light stream to see what he would do. He tentatively poked at it with his paw, then started drinking it, and eventually playing in it! (striking it with his paw or biting at it!)

Now everytime we even walk in the direction of the bathroom he zooms in there, jumps in the bathtub and looks up at the faucet wanting us to turn it on! I came home from work yesterday and couldn't find him anywhere, and he was just sitting in the tub

Sounds like maybe Reilly needs a fountain for christmas!

Sounds like you should advertise Riley as a tutor to those cats that refused to be bathed!
I see a number of registrants with very many claw marks from their kities.

Awwh, so sweet!

I used to have one kitten who would sit on the edge of the tub while I took a bath and read a book, and would end up sitting on my tummy with just a paw dangling in the water, too cute!!!

Whenever I took a bath Gus would jump up on the edge of the bath to sit with me, and usually he would end up straddling the edge and have one paw paddling in the water like he was in a boat and was trying to paddle to shore.

Occasionally when my son was really young and still taking baths instead of showers, we would forget to drain the tub or our plug had a mind of its own and would shut with only a couple inches of water left in the tub. Gus would climb into the tub and walk around in the water.

He didn't mind getting his feet wet, but he hated getting any other body part wet.
