Awww That is absolutely fantastic!!!! Thank goodness! Congratulations on all you are doing for her.... Maybe being unemployed right now is a blessing in disguise - you are able to save your baby!

It has been good that you were able to be w/ Lita 24/7, and now I am sending mega prayers and vibes that Lita makes a speedy recovery and you get a well-paying job with a good outfit

...I think she thinks that I have nothing better to do but to hand feed her 4 times a day
I went and talked to the vet again today and to get more canned SD. He told me to keep her on her IV fluids for a month.......Oh Great.........she hates being stuck in the neck with a needle everyday
On a good note.....my older brother knows of my financial situation.....loaned me a check for $1,700. I did not even ask him for it
That really made my day when I opened the letter today
I asked the girl at the vets office how much I owed them......$377.00 she said. I took Lita there 4 times last week and she got 4 injections.....+ 4 IV fluid treatments....3 cans of SD A/D canned and two general examinations by the vet. I also got a whole bag of IV fluids and all the rigging that goes with that plus extra needles. I also got some liquid Amoxycillin to give to her 2 times a day. He is giving this all to me on credit which is pretty generous as I am unemployed
Now that I got some money from my brother.....I will go down to the vet tomorrow and give him $100 toward the bill
Please keep the prayers coming as we both appreciate them and they seem to be working

Oh that is great news! I am so happy for you and Lita! Yep - Lucky is a seal lynx point ragdoll... Same as Lita, right? They are spoiled, aren't they??? Lucky know she is my owner - as I said before: She meows and I jump! Good luck with you and Lita - it seems to me that in between you and your wonderful Vet, she will be just fine!

What a gorgeous girl Lita is!! Glad to see that she's better (do you think that maybe she associates her crunchies with nausea
) even tho she's loving those hand-feedings a bit to much

What a wonderful brother you have
And your vet's office is a real blessing as well

Sending mega prayers and vibes that things keep getting brighter & brighter for you both

I went and gave my great vet $100 toward the bill as I said I would. That made me feel better.....as I feel somewhat guilty for his generosity over the last 8 days. Only $277 to go......
My pretty Lita is happy........that makes me happy as I love her with all my heart
Thank you for being so caring in our time of need........this site has the sweetest and most caring people ever. Many thoughts and prayers bring tears to my eyes. Please keep the prayers coming My sweet Lita just may make it

Lita improves each and every day. I seen her eat on her own some dry food today for the first time
I am still feeding her through a syringe the canned Science Diet A/D. I want her to put on some weight. I am getting a whole 5 1/2 once can down her every 24 hours as the vet suggested
She is prolly right around 7 pounds today. I would love to see her get up to about 9 pounds which is normal for her. She never was a big girl. The funny thing is.....she is the smallest of all 6 of my cats and she is the "Big Boss" over the rest. She likes to hiss and growl at them. I have 2 male Ragdolls that are at 15 pounds and still growing. They let her be the boss until she pisses "Big Brutus" (15 pound male Ragdoll) off to much then he will chase her thoughout the house and kick her skinny little butt......nothing serious.....just a pecking order thing I guess
She hates the IV everyday stuck in her neck but the vet said to stay with it for another 3 weeks. Thanks for caring

Oh, I'm so sorry to read of your precious Lita's health troubles! She is a beautiful girl and is obviously well-loved. As someone who's currently going through treatment for a recurrent bone cancer, I can relate to, somewhat, she's going through. She, and you, are in my thoughts and prayers. Please remember, the good that you do will come back to you--although you can't afford it, you're making sure your precious girl is getting her medical care; continue to do so, because this good deed will not go unrewarded. I will also pray that you find work soon. God bless you and precious Lita.

Lita gets a little better each day. She is now walking normal and is not so thin. I continue to hand feed her (she loves it) and give her her IV fluids and liquid antibiotic 2 time a day
She is still eating some of her dry food and a little of her canned Solid Gold tuna when I put it down for all the cats to eat on one plate for all 5 cats to dig into
She hates being stuck in the back with a needle and given the IV fluids tho
. I have it down to an art now and the whole job is over in about 4 minutes or less
I am guessing that she will be pretty much normal in about another week. The vet wanted me to bring her back for a recheck so I will plan on that next Monday
The prayers and the support that I have received here have really helped. Lita is lucky that I am unemployed right now so she was able to get the extra care that she needs. Many pet owners prolly would not do what I did for her within the last 9 days.....I really don't mind as I feel kinda special hand nursing Lita back to good health. Lita really appreciates me helping her out as she have been extra affectionate both rubbing and sleeping next to me......she is very special and well worth my extra effort
Hopefully I will get some good karma coming back my way as I need it

Good Karma will come your way - but the best demo of it will be to have your lovely Lita healthy around you for many years to come... Now I am pretty sure she is going to be just fine... I can't wait for you to go to the vet again - maybe he is going to let her off the IV sooner... She is so lucky to have you in her life; very very lucky!
Where do you live in Michigan? Anywhere near Detroit?
And Also: Have you consider putting her on Transfer Factor? I have been hearing wonderful things about it... I just bought some for Lucky - It is apparent she has ringworm, but I don't want to treat her with harsh meds just so I don't get it...
Take a look at some of these feedbacks:
