Has this come up before as a coloring question?

I've been reading, and it seems that a regular colorpoint cat has darker coloring on thier legs than their main body/back. But what about the reverse?

My cat seems to have lighter colored legs than the fur on her body/back. Is this rare?

I don't seem to have a decent photo on my computer to attach right now. I'll try to add one shortly. Alpine is a blue mackeral tabby (DSH), with her legs/paws being a light gray and her back fur is a much darker banded gray.

It could just be shading... I've never heard of reverse colorpoint, myself... color showing up more with warmth would seem... well, just as contrary as cats can be.
