After all these expenses with Sebastian, I want to get health insurance for Daphne after the new year. She is young and healthy so should be no problem.

I have two companies picked out but I'm not sure how the billing, etc works.

Is it like human insurance where the vet bills the insurance company? Or do clients pay out of pocket then get reimbursed?

Paying up front for lots of treatment would be almost impossible for me even if I were to be reimbursed at a later time.

Thanks

I think it depends on your vet too...my sister just had a big claim with vetinsurance.com and they just paid her bill right to the vet for her. It was like $1600.

By the way, I would recommend that company...I didn't know if they would pay her claim, jut because I am cynical..but they did pay it with no problems. They have a lifetime maximum of $20000 I think too, no "per claim" maximum. It is a great deal.
