I went in the kitchen this morning and found Thingy seated by her food bowl (more than half full) and water bowl (more than half full). She looked up at me with that look that said "I'm a poor wee orphan and nobody loves me. Please, lady, give a few crumbs to a poor starving critter." She looked a bit like this:

[sorry it's a bit fuzzy]

Well, I got the look for about 10 full seconds and then, when she realised that she hadn't conned me into giving her anything more interesting to eat, she just stuck her nose in her food bowl and started munching away as though nothing had happened.

Little minx!

Thingy was unusually quiet this morning. Normally, she nags incessantly. I don't know which is worse. The nagging is as irritating as hell but the silent treatment does such a guilt trip on me and I start fretting that she's not well because she looks so sad.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
Is she eating and drinking normally though?. She's not nagging at you, she's talking to you
Rosie and Jack are like that all the time with me. I laugh at Rosie when i have the hair dryer on, because as soon as i switch it off she's sitting by the door and yells as if to say "About time as well!"

Oh she's eating normally. For a hyperthyroid cat she is very healthy although she doesn't wolf down food as many cats do; she's a frequent snacker but that's probably because there's always something in her bowl so she's confident about leaving food. When I took her on she was very poorly and only weighed 2kg. Her vet says he doesn't care how much food I give her, that, in her case, there is no too much. That said, she isn't a glutton (unless there are jumbo king prawns on offer) and she eats around the recommended daily amount every day and drinks but not feverishly.

You may call what she does talking but I call it nagging and sometimes shouting with attitude!

Not to mention some turpitude! Yup, she's got tortoiseshell, tabby, ginger and white. I've always thought it entirely appropriate that she has a brown nose!

Oh she's got the starving orphan look alright. You should bring her for an audition if they ever stage an Oliver Twist play!

Thingy is a very cute name, and that look on her face is adorable.

If she could only sing and dance, she could do the musical but she's strictly a drama queen:
