Well, here's my pregnant cat at 5 days before delivery due date. I have checked and she hasn't got her milk in yet. She's porked out in the last couple weeks, but not as much as I thought she would. Having said that, I know this is her first litter and that Devons have smaller litters to begin with, I'm ok with that.

I have been feeling (almost hourly LOL) for movement and they are quite lively little guys in there. I felt a head today, felt like a large marble rubbing back and forth along her one side...but at the same time, the other side was moving so that was so cool. I am feeling that she's got 2 maybe 3 in there, but I can't see her having more than that, unless they are stacked like sardines in there LOL

I have been locking her up with me in the spare bedroom at night for the past few nights, and she doesn't mind it a bit. She always sleeps with me under the covers, so she's just fine with it

I have a funny feeling that she will give birth under the covers with me, so I am trying to remember that as I go to sleep...to sleep lightly.

AWWWW....that darling girl with her plump sides
She has a stunning patchwork of colors

Sending prayers and vibes that her delivery goes well
What a blessed kitty she is, to have a wonderful home where she is able to safely bring her little family into the world. I am so happy for you all!

Well, thank you so much for those compliments! Bonnie is registered Devon Sphynx cross and we love her so much...she is the most beautiful cat I've owned thus far and we love her immensely.

I will be with her the entire time she labours and will assist in the delivery. I will not leave her side as problems can occur and I don't want anything to go wrong.

I am so excited and I tell her everyday that I'll be with her and she doesn't need to be scared. I know she can't understand the words, but I know she can feel the love

Well, I was told from the lady I got my male from that he is black smoke. Below is a picture of them together. I looked at CFA's website for possible colors, but I guess when it comes down to it, I get what I get LOL.

I talked with some breeders at a "cat show" at the mall this weekend, and they were really good with genetics, so we discussed at great length what the possible colors would be. I am guessing from what they said and what I have read that I will get black/blue males or females, orange males, or orange calicos, like Bonnie...I guess I will see, won't I!!! JUst a couple of more days!!!

Yes, it seems they were made for each other. There was no time needed for separation when I got her, I caught them in my bed under the covers the following day after we drove her home with us...was late when we got home...this is the picture of them both at 3 months old

Thanks so much for the compliments.

Well, one day before Dday and no babies yet. I do believe her milk is in fact in now, just she won't let me squeeze a nipple to get something to see LOL. I don't blame her really LOL.

She has been sleeping alot, and tomorrow I will most likely lock her up full time until she delivers. Right now, I keep her in my spare room with me at night with the door closed. I know she'll miss sleeping on our laser printer LOL..so toasty up there.

I am so anxious about this delivery, and becoming more impatient as every minute passes.

My cat Winnie didn't get very big at all I thought she would have 4 babies at the most and she popped out 5 big ones. So if you only feel two to three count on 4! She is the most beautiful cat ever! Good Luck, I missed my babies being delivered. stupid job. but she did great! Let us know and give us lots of pictures!

Wow, 5 when you didn't think she was big at all!! Bonnie is quite bald so there is no hair to make her look larger, so maybe that's why I think she's so small...it's all tummy. I just don't have a clue how many more than 2 or 3 she'll have but I will be with her every step of the way...if it ever happens LOL I'm not sure how many days "late" I should allow her to be if she doesn't deliver by tomorrow (day 63). I was going to call the vet this afternoon, but by the time I got back to the phone the vet was closed.

65 to 67 days is considered quite normal for sphynx so she may not go until the weekend. For some reason they like to go into labor on Sunday when no vets
are open.

I just phoned the vet, and they said she should have them by tomorrow night. The vet is concerned to let her go any longer as their survival rates are lower the longer they go...which I already knew. The kittens' movements have slowed down somewhat, more like they're sleeping in there than doing the wrestling match thing like yesterday LOL. The vet tech I talked to also said their movement will slow as labour starts in the beginning. I sure hope so...I have been laying with her a lot today and feeling her tummy. I just can't stand this waiting!!! She looks fine and not in distress, is still eating, albeit not a lot..little nibbles here and there. She is fully confined now to my spare room and is resting nicely on my bed....we just had an hour of cuddle time under the blankets, that's her favorite.

Abbycats, yes they are cuties...loved too much sometimes LOL Oh nah, you can never love a cat too much IMO. You can have a cat certainly, just gotta come get it LOL...will be very cold when they are old enough to leave. It won't warm up here until April...

I am so sorry for your loss of your Stormy last year. I know how hard it is, my Ferd we had to pts this summer because of vascular necrosis..basically his hip had rotted away from lack of blood flowing to it. I am still sad about it, but I know now he is out of pain and watching over all of us here.
