i'm getting really, really slow-loading pages today... usually it says 'read google-analytics' when this is happening. not sure what that means - i have ads turned off.
any ideas?

Google Analytics is not just the ads, it tracks which page you came from to get to this one etc to help webmasters know which of their advertising and search engine options are working for them.
But to answer your question, yes the site seems slow today and I have adverts off also but am getting a lag while loading the pagenot just when loading the analytics part comes up also

I've noticed things are loading slowly for me, too. But it's not just TCS: I'm having problems with Yahoo, too (not that THAT'S anything unusual!
).
I disconnected from my ISP and then reconnected to see if that would help any b/c sometimes it does, but it didn't make any difference this time.
Maybe there's a lot of online traffic tonight..
