I don't have one but I've seen them before and thought they would be great.

Can you get the "self warming" feature in a bed that has sides? My gang all really like beds that have sides over just something flat.

I had one but my cats don't like crinkly sounding stuff and the thermal stuff inside makes a crinkly noise. If you know whether or not your cat is scared of crinkly noises I can tell you that it's a nice size and I know of others who like it. I donated it to a shelter and they had a sick kitty that loved it.

We have that one. Forrest loves it. I put it beside my bed where he sleeps at night and now he sleeps on it. It definitely makes a "crinkly" noise and he will sometimes bite and paw at the blanket.

I'm not sure how warm it keeps him cause I also wrap a little blanket around him too. (ok...I know I treat him like a little baby but he seems to love it)

Thanks Nancy
If you mind driving to Ottawa, why not scroll down and buy it online? It looks real nifty and I know my cats would love them!

You don't need to drive to buy it. You can purchase it online and have it delivered to your house. If your cat or dogs hate it, then just donate it. It's only $20.

Earth, man.
If you're unable to source this at a retailer near you, it wouldn't be difficult to make one yourself. The inside is a space blanket, commonly found in outdoor survival kits. It's a shiny, reflective material. Once you have that all you would need to do is enclose the blanket in a material that suits you or your cat.

I'm going to try my hand at making a few of these--will be picking up the emergency blanket this week--cost should only be about $5 for the emergency blanket and before I spent too much more I'll just slide some in a pillowcase to see if the boys even like them.

Harley has been sleeping on our bedroom heating vent for two weeks so I thought he might like this bed.
