Got a new kitty! Pictures!

My kitten Kirby passed away from FIP about a month ago and the SPCA said to stop by anytime for another cat free of charge. So Saturday my fiance and I spent about 2 hours there looking at kitties. They has SO many nice ones-- lots of snuggly ones that just wanted to be held.

We ended up getting an 8 month old male named OJ (I think I'm going to change his name because it reminds me of OJ Simpson). He is super- cuddly and loves being held like a baby. He's really sweet and VERY playful. He came from a lady who had like 5-6 cats and had to go into assisted living and give them up. He was at the SPCA for almost 3 months!!

I have him separated from my other cat, Kara. I'll probably try to introduce them later this week.

Sweet!!!!! I love the orange tabby cats (Moose is grooming my hair while I'm writing this). Names are tough to come up with. I called mine Rocky, Moose (after Rocky and Bullwinkle) and Lucy after my favorite sitcom actress.

Simon was the first name that came to mind - coming from the mom of George I also like the name Elliot.

He's a cutie!

Sunny - he looks like he has a sunny disposition (plus his pretty orange color)

OMG! This is just too coincidental! I first thought of Simon also when I saw him. That's just nuts! I guess it's official. If three people at random think of a name for your cat when first seeing his picture that HAS to be his name.....I checked, it's in the cat owners manual. Just kidding!

But Simon is cute. Simon and Kara....or....(and I am sure Kara will agree) Kara and Simon.

i think i understand the orange cat love I didn't really think i liked the orange ones, but when I was picking two out of the litter of orphans i got i couldn't stand not getting this one.

Are you sure yours is 8 months old? that's about how old mine is, well 9, but yours still looks like a kitten?

The SPCA said he was born April 5th- so almost 8 months. He's around 8lbs so he's pretty big in real life

When I intro him to Kara, I'll have to post a comparison photo.
