New & Getting a New Sphynx Kitten

Hi all! I came across your forum while I was looking for info on Sphynx cats. I am pretty much a dog person but i do have a Siamese mix kitty named Snowbell and I will soon be bringing home a Sphynx kitten! I have wanted one for years and i'm thrilled to finally be getting one! I've read and researched them for years but when it finally comes down to getting one I suddenly can't seem to remember anything about them, lol!!
Any tips you guys can give me on Sphynx care would be great!! There's lots to read on your forum and I can't wait to get started!
My baby is coming home in about a month and she needs a name too, lol!! So any nakie baby name ideas you have would be great!!

My Sphynx is coming sometime next week.
I can give you the breeders website if you want it.
It has alot of info on it.
I named mine Cleopatra and here is her pic.

Oh, she's adorable!! I am open to any info you care to share so I would love the site address!
I'd post a pic but since it is the breeders pics I'm not sure if I should! Will post lots of pics once I get her though!

Can anyone tell me if it is ok for Sphynx to wear collars? I don't want to irritate her skin. I have 3 Chinese Cresteds and I know collars seem to irritate them so I'm wondering if it would be the same with a Sphynx?

Snowbell is a boy He's just a mix kitty I found as a kitten but he's a sweetheart!
My Sphynx is a state away from me so I'm probably going to have to ship.

I, too, am getting a sphynx next month (if all goes as planned) and I am so ecstatic!! Hubby gave me a birthday coupon last week he made saying I could have one!!!

None of my cats wear collars, all are indoor cats as well. I don't like collars as they bug ME when I try to pet the cat from the head down...they get in the way...that's just my opinion.

My devons are more on the bald side and their necks aren't big enough to wear a normal collar, but we have kitten harnesses for them. Only used them 2 times in a year, but we have them nonetheless.

Congrats on getting a sphynx. The breeder I've been talking to says her sphynx cats act like dogs, so you should be feeling quite comfortable with one.

Yes I've been hitting all the name sites, lol, can't come up with an Egyptian one I like as they are all so looong. Still thinking on it but I have always liked the name Luna so it will probably be that, not what I set out to name her but i kind of like it

I like the name.
I named my sphynx Cleopatra and will call her Cleo.

I like your name for your new baby, at least with that one you can shorten it to Cleo, most of the Egyptian names can't really be shortened.
