Nuh uh...might give me away!
I had to make a relatively low-carb snack for a work carry-in and I thought of something my mom always made that I always thought was yummy: ham with cream cheese spread on it, wrapped around a dill pickle spear. Now, my coworkers were a bit...sqeamish about it at first, but realized how yummy the combo was.

Each piece (or half) had 1 carb, so I was able to just taste their wares and fill up on mine.

This may be a little off thread but it is something you ingest so I guess it will fit...When I was in high school there was a drink that was all the craze that honestly had to be the most horrible taste combination I've ever had.

It was called a Purple Peguin and it was a combo of Scotch, and grape juice
It was seriously

I honestly haven't thought about them in years until I saw this thread.

grapefruit juice and Ho-Hos
My friend used to think getting a value meal at McDonald's and drinking milk with it was gross...I drank milk with anything!
Now see, I do almost all of these! I haven't tried the burgers in cucumber sauce (mainly because I have no idea what that is!), and I haven't done the grapefruit and ho-hos, but I can tell you that chocolate chip cookies dipped in red wine tastes like fruitloops!

When I was little, we used to go out to dinner with my grandparents, and my granddad (he was a joker) always ordered a pickle sunday for dessert. He first ordered it just to see the waitress's reaction, but when she actually brought it he ate every bit of it and loved it! I tried it...once. Lets just say it is definitely an aquired taste.

I didn't taste this combo but it almost cost me my marriage. DH was eating a peppermint Altoid while I was trying a most delicious ginger beer (with a great ginger kick). I gave the ginger beer to him to try. The look he gave me was one of total disgust
and he has never forgiven me.

A woman after my own heart! Who needs food after a few glasses of wine, or two Manhattans, or some Cosmos, etc.

Marmite is like vegamite, right? Yuck!

OK, my thing in HS was to mix cottage cheese and tuna fish.

We would get along great,
that's one of my favorite combo's,
I just love it on crackers, in fact truth be told I have even used it as chip dip before...

Umm, ok I just don't see anything wrong with this one
What's wrong with donuts and chocolate milk? Chocolate and ... well, anything.

Maybe I'm just a sweet hog

My friend puts pickles in tacos. Also an acquired taste, but good!
Well, go to your favorite (or just nearest, if no favorite) gyro place. They're usually like custard places, too. They usually have really good burgers. All greasy and cheesy, if you're into that like I was.
Ask for the gyro sauce on the side and dip the burger in it. It's like a sour cream base with cucumbers minced up. I usually got my burgers with ketchup and mayo, and then dipped them in the cucumber sauce. SO good!

Mmmmm! That is a family favorite appetizer for Holiday dinners. We spread a ham slice with cream cheese, wrap it around a dill pickle and slice it up. Super yummy!!

I used to dip up chocolate ice cream with saltine crackers... still would, I guess, if I had some! I love the contrast.

Another nice contrast: coffee milkshake with salt-and-vinegar potato chips!

When I was a kid, I sometimes had leftover mac-n-cheese right out of the refrigerator for breakfast -- with ketchup.

Interesting. I like tuna fish on top of plain tortilla chips or salt and vinegar chips

I love reading everyone's odd food combos, most sound pretty nasty. I don't like ketchup, pig, beef, mac and cheese, mayo, or normal milk to drink so anything paired with those things would be gross to me.
I also like orange juice with anything I am eating, even salads, grapefruit and grape juice too. I use cottage cheese as a salad dressing often, sprinkled with sunflower seeds. When it comes to fruits and vegetables and fish I get very creative and I put mustard on so many things!
