Can cats get sick like humans?

First baby Macy got sick, she had a fever of 105.2. The doctor put her on antibiotics and wasn't to concerned. Now momma is starting to look down and I can tell she is not feeling well.
Can cats catch virus' like humans?

Yes, cats get colds just like humans but unlike humans they do need to see the vet ... Momma may also need to go to the vet ... URI s are often viral

I had that happen with Meeko last Jan thn Coco got it but not with the high fever.
Meeko had the high fever.
I would take the mom to the vet,

I will take her, that is a given. I guess if it is something like a URI they could pass it back and forth.
