The thread the other day about the Elton John/Billy Joel Concert got me thinking about how many great songs they have recorded over the years. I have been a big fan of both since I was about 14...

I was trying to decide on my favorite songs for both which was kind of a hard task considering how many things they both have recorded.

However here's what I think would be my favorites from both.

Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me -Elton John

Second Wind -Billy Joel.

How about everyone else, what are your favorites?

Elton John - Daniel

Billy Joel - NY State of Mind

It was tougher for me to pick just one Billy Joel song, since I'm familiar with more of his music. But, I was watching an old performance of his on TV recently, and he did NY State of Mind...I was reminded of how much I like it.

Wow, that's a tough one. I love all of their songs! But if I have to pick, I'd have to say

Elton John - The One

Billy Joel - Piano Man

Oooh toughie. I love so many of their songs. I have "Only the Good Die Young" as a ringback tone, "Uptown Girl" as a ringtone, and used to have "Movin' Out" as a ringback awhile ago.

Elton John - "Daniel" or "Sad Songs (Say So Much)"

Billy Joel - "Piano Man"

I LOVE both of them, and it's really, really hard to pick a favorite. But I have to go with:

Elton John: Tiny Dancer
Billy Joel: She's Got a Way (but a close second is Lullabye, which was our daddy/daughter song because Billy Joel is one of the few singers we agree on)

Too many good songs for both and it depends on my mood for a favorite. Today I'll go with:

Elton John - Levon
Billy Joel - Goodnight Saigon
