I just found this on a website [Here: http://www.crookedbrains.net/2008/10...er-house.html] and I had to share! I would love to build this house. What do you guys think? Maybe this is a good way to go to spoil our kitties?

Many of us adore our cats; and it looks like the Japanese regard them like children. Some Japanese housing builders have come up with designs with special features for cats. Here are the images from a house called Plus-Nyan house by Asahi Kasei, a leading house builder in Japan. This could be a dream house for every cat owner and their cats, as it would require great deal of research to design these houses keeping in mind the requirements of the clients and their cats. Here are a few key features: open air cat walks, climbing steps, cat doors in every door, deck built in to the window, extra space in the bathroom designed for their compartment, cat room hidden under the stairs, special fencing to prevent cats from getting away. Apart from these, there has been use of cat friendly construction materials as well.

The one of the bathroom is my favorite. I wonder if house guests will be allowed inside when the cat is using it.

I love this house. I wish I could do something like this, but can't make too many changes as a renter.

Very, very cool! Thanks for the photos, we are looking to buy a house & will be working on it, no doubt & I'll save the photos for some future ideas.
What a wonderful environment for the cats & humans with lots of space & light...I'd hate to have to clean it, though!

I hadn't even THOUGHT about cleaning it. XD Phew! I'm not my Mother just yet. Haha.

If I could afford to build a house like this one I'd like to think I could afford to purchase a maid's services. XDD

Make sure to share photos when you've finished your house, if you decide to put cat renovations in. XD
