I thought I would post a few pics of my horses! I ride english and western, but my main passion is jousting!! I currently only do the games but once I have my full armour done I will be hitting my friends with sticks and vice versa!

This is Rowan my 6yr old 17.2hh Belgian Draft gelding. I have had Row since he was around a year old and I love him to death. Seriously I am quite sure we were ment to be. He is the biggest momma`s boy ever(pun intended)! He is my main riding horse and my current mount for jousting!

Me hugging my boy!

This is my 12yr old 16hh Percheron X mare Tia. I have had Tia for 8yrs now and she is an awesome riding horse and a great maker of adorable babies!

Tia gettin a belly scratch from me!

Drayad is my 2yr old grey Percheron X and the son of my mare Tia. He is currently 16.1hh and still growing and greying at a snails pace!
Baby Dray 3hrs old

Drayad 1yr old

Drayad 1.5yrs old with his mom Tia(brown around muzzle is Tia)

Drayad 2yrs old this summer

And last but not least my mini boys!

Joya is a 18yr old ex stud and quite the arrogant little turd!! He is a whole 29inches tall but he is convinced he is the biggest horse around and picks fights with my draft horses all the time!

Gomer is my mini Appy stud! He is 4yrs old and 30inches tall. I bought him over the summer for $25 at an auction and he has become the perfect buddy for my ex stud Joya!

You gave my evening a lift with those beautiful animal pictures. You are very lucky to be able to have them. I know a few of us here would love to be that close to those magnificent animals. Thank you for brightening my day.

Thank you Tia does have a gorgeous face and huge big eyes. It's very deceiving considering her bad temper and the fact that she thinks she is Queen of the world. I get along great with her, she gives me no problems, but for people who don't know what they are doing she totally takes advantage and scares them!! My family all refuse to ride her, but I have had her in the mountains, in clinics and use her for jousting!!

Thanks you everyone! I love my mismatched herd and honestly don't know what I would do without them. My horses and other animals are my life!!

Hmmmm...she definitley sounds like my kind of girl!!
I almost had the opportunity to buy a perch cross a couple years ago, but the person who initially looked at her got her...
I was so sad, because she was sweet, sassy, and gorgeous...she moved like she was floating over the ground; and she was over 16 hands at 2 years already; I often wonder how she turned out! My next horse will be a Perch cross...hopefully solid black

I am so in love with draft horses! I love Percherons, we had one gorgeous mare at work that looked like yours but she was a big bully. We had some huge stallion too with blue eyes. Freisians are my love though.

I just really am fascinated by the really huge breeds of horses! I would love to own one some day.

Yeah Tia is the smoothest ride! She paddles with her front legs and she has those huge big rocking hips. You just relax and float along! Her son Drayad travels just like her but bigger. I love it! It was so bad when I bought, they sent pics, I went out and saw her once and that was it I was sold and had to have her. She was barely 4 very green broke, was antsy in the barn, and the woman just kept saying "not a beginner horse". They couldn't handle her. I wasn't a beginner at the time but I was 16, and grieving my first horses sudden death. My first mare was a big grey Percheron x and Tia reminded me of my Star so I bought her. Not the best time to be looking for a new horse.

In the first few months I cried a lot. Tia was nuts. She was so good on trail rides, and in the arena as long as she was moving. In the barn she was good as long as I was insight but the second I turned a corner she would paw and wig out. She even shoved herself out of a stall window once after being in the stall alone for less than five minutes while I was getting my tack from the other room. I love her so much now. We have gone through so much together, worked through so many issues. I will never part with my crazy girl, not only because I love her but I also worry if I sold her and she acts like her normal crazy self, she will scare the wrong person and end up on the meat truck!! Tia ain't goin anywhere!!

Your journey with Tia is a lot like mine with Pride (my current horse), only I was looking for a project horse. That said, I did indeed get a project horse, when I became sold on Pride. He was fearful, and not at all confident in human handlers. We went through alot, especially since he was five at the time, and had very incomplete ground work done on him. I didn't ride him until very late in the year I bought him, which made it nearly a year of just solid ground work before I ever got on him. But I have not regretted it, because when I did get on, he was ready for it. He is a fabulous trail horse, and has even proven himself as a great 'babysitter' for green riders...Not bad for 2 years worth of work. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him, because he has impeccable (most of the time) ground manners, and has a very sweet calm aire about him that they just find irresistable.
