Cleopatra is coming in about 2 weeks!!!

She gets fixed thurs and she should be here within 2.5 weeks.
We still do not know what airport it will be yet.
The breeder is looking for the easiest route.
It will be a 2 hours drive to go get her no matter what airport it is.
Do you think I should take her to the vet the next day after she comes?

I vetted mine at 3-4 days, my contract said within 5 days so I left them to settle in for a few days.

I can not wait until i have her.
We have 3 days to go to the vet when she comes.

You must be beside yourself with excitement!

I have always taken new arrivals to the vet as soon as possible.

Quarantine her from your other cats for at least a week or two before introductions, even if she has been to the vet - young ones are susceptible to different bacteria and viruses that exist naturally in your home and should have an adjustment period prior to full exposure from contact with your existing cats.

I sure do not want my cats sick.
Who knows what germs are on the plane also.

In most breeders contracts they do state you are to take the kitten to your vet within 2-3 daysof receiving the kitten. So yes, have her checked by your vet right away. I gave the owners 2 days (48 hrs) to get them to their vet.

I plan on taking Cleo to the vet the day after we get her.

I'm sure she'll be worth the wait. I've been waiting for one of mine since April, mum is due to be mated next month.

I hope she has a kitten that you want when she is bred.
The first breeder never did answer any email after Aug.
Its a good thing Kai Bengals got me Ed or I would be trying to find a breeder.
I can not believe the other breeder pulled that after we kept in touch since feb and she told me I had one for sure after they were born.

Waiting is the hard part.

I've been waiting for awhile now for a show Aby. He's still not born yet.

But Adilah (abymummy) visited us here in North Carolina today and assured me she has a plan in place. Maybe in 6 to 8 months I'll have my show cat.

Also been waiting for the right Singapura for two years and may now finally have that nailed down as well.

I'm looking foward to your posts when your new kitten arrives.
