For the most part, I don't mind my job. The pay is good, most of the people I work with I get along with and generally it's an easy job for me. However, tomorrow It looks like I will be putting in a minimum of 22 hours
I have to deliver all over the southern part of the province. I start work at 5:00 tomorrow. I'll leave Regina at probably around 6:30AM and deliver in Estevan first, then I have to go to Moose Jaw, and then after reloading the truck in Regina it's a 3.5 hour drive to Swift Current. I'll arrive there at probably about 8:30PM. Once I get done all the deliveries (there's a whole semi full just for there) and then get back to Regina, it looks like it will be about 3:00AM Wednesday.
And then just to top it all off, my boss wants me to come in for work at 7:00AM on Wednesday. So I'll be working about 30 hours in 2 days.
Now, if my boss had an excuse for me having to do all the deliveries of the day by myself (when normally we have at least 2) I would understand, but considering that there are 4 other people that are in tomorrow who can drive the truck, I don't see why one of them can't take Swift Current. I know the drive better than most of them, but there's GPS in the truck so there's no reason that someone else can't help me out.
The worst part is that this isn't the first time he's asked me to do the whole thing. He asked me earlier because our second truck was having some repairs done to it and it didn't look like we could get the rental in time. Luckily, we were able to get a rental from a different company just in time. But this time, we have both trucks running perfectly but I still have to do it all apparently.
Sometimes people can really tick me off.
