The Osbornes

Just wondering what everyone thinks about The Osbornes? I watch their shows occasionally on MTV and I find them quite funny. But I don't consider them idols of mine and personally would't want my teenagers watching that show. It's a bit vulgar and it seems like MTV is encouraging kids to be "just like them".

BTW, I just read on Yahoo News that Jack Osborne (who is only 17) admitted himself into Rehab because of his drug and alchol abuse.

So, what you think about Ozzy and the family?

Strange bunch of people! That can't be denied
I saw the news story about Jack. Good he's getting help but he is not a good role model for anyone.

It's nice to see people that will be themselves in this world. I see so many cliques and people striving to be like the next. It's nice to see people come out and express themselves without care of what others around them think.


As for Jack. It's horrible that as a teenager he has a drug problem. However, there are thousands of teenagers out there with drug problems. His problem is splashed through-out the media because he is part of a famous family. On the upside, maybe all of those other teenagers out in the world suffering from drug difficulties can look at his life and see that he is searching for help REGARDLESS of what the media and world thinks, and be inspired by that to get themselves help.

I definitely don't think it is a show for kids, but I love it. I have been an Ozzy fan since the Black Sabbath days. I hope Jack gets the help he needs, and the fact that they are not trying to hide it from the public could be a good opportunity to encourage other kids with addictions to seek the hekp they need. I really admired them for taking in the young man who's mother died of cancer. Foul mouthed, strange, and all, they are obviously a very close,loving family. That is something a lot of kids never see.

In Canada we get the show without any of the profanity beeped out. Honestly - it is funny with the beeping. I personally think that they are a family who care deeply for each other - they just show it in a different way!

I've tried to watch it a few times. I don't know what happened to Kelly, but I don't like her on that show, in real life she's been a lot more calmer at least for the few fleating moments I have been with her, maybe it's having the camera infront of her face that makes the difference, and same for sharron, she does 180's all over the place. *shurgs*.
I can't get into the show, I don't think it's funny, or amusing, ozzy is a sad/pathetic man to look at, poor thing is so old now.

So, I just don't watch it anymore.

I enjoy the show. They're obviously not a "model family", but somehow a typical, if chaotic, family, with the parents worrying about the kids, and the kids rebelling whenever possible. What I really find funny is the dogs. I couldn't live like that - why in the world haven't they managed to get them housebroken?

jcat: probably the whole mentality of the household.
Dogs feel stress... stress can cause them to react badly, trust me, I know first hand, almost ruined a poor dog that way, or at least partly due to it.
Not to mention countless others owned by others.
Sad really. :/

I have always thought they were very weird and strange of what I have seen...I don't watch it very much anyway, but I can't say much about them since I don't know alot anyway..

I used to like the osbornes, but not so much the second season. Kelly is big brat and even Sharon (illness aside) seems to be acting for the cameras. Ozzy is the only one who hasnt suddenly got a huge "Im a Star" attitude.

I used to really love the Osbournes , B'cause I like Ozzys music and then I saw a few shows and didn't enjoy it and then I started watching and then I thought it was crappy and their swearing just wasn't funny and now I don't watch it anymore
I think they are silly and not a good example to children ( Like Me ) & They really need to deal with their pets ( ) They ju8ts crap all over the show and pee !!
