I worked til 4 and then..woo hoo...ordered a new computer! This one has been driving me nuts for a long time, it crashes at least 4 times a day. There is something wrong with the motherboard, and I found out it would actually be cheaper to get a new Dell through a friend who works for them! So I will soon have a shiny new computer to fill up with more kitten pictures!
Hubby is sick and has been in bed all day. I've had a headhache for the past four days and it's so bizarre cause I don't usually get persistent headaches. So it's definitely an 'in' day. It was so beautiful too. What a waste!
What a good way to spend our days off... not.
OH! I don't know if I told you guys...Darrell had applied for jobs last week at all the good hotels in town. 3 called back but only 1 was offering shifts that appealed to Darrell. The whole point of applying at other jobs was to get off the graveyard shift and two hotels wanted him exclusivly for that, so that didn't work out, but one offered 3 evening shifts and 2 nights shifts, at almost a dollar more and hour! So we were hoping and hoping that they would call back after the initial interview and they did! They said "they were thiking of hiring him but they want him to come in and see if he can learn their system" That's so funny. As if they would put out the energy and money to do that with all the potential employees right? So we think that job "is in the bag", so to speak.
Darrell will do some double shifts this week in order to get that job. We won't see each other for a few days, but it's important to him. I sure hope he gets it, he needs more time off than he's allowed at the present job.
