Plastic stuck between teeth

My cat found a thin piece of plastic used for holding price tags no clothing. While he was playing with it, it got stuck between his teeth and I can not get to it do to the struggling and more so the closing of his mouth. Any suggestions on how to keep his mouth open for a minute to try to get it out of his teeth?

Wrap him in a towel and have someone hold his mouth open while you get the plastic out.

If there is no one home to help you, maybe a neighbor would help.
If you can't get it out, a vet emergency is your only other option.
You certainly don't want him to swallow it.
