I had one of those "I just want to lock the cat in a room" mornings today and I thought I would start a post just in case anyone else has one of these.

So on to the rant...

That darn grumble grumble cat of mine did everything he could to drive me crazy this morning. It started at 4:30 when I was attacked by sharp little claws under the blanket. It seems I had rolled to close to the side of the bed, so I turn over and move away, yeah that didn't help, after three more times I finally got up.

I figured he just needed to play, so I get out the wand toy and play with him for half an hour, then, given it was just past 5 I went back to bed. He went crazy, I woke up to a crash. This darn cat had ran into the room, jumped off the side of the bed, ran along the love seat, jumped off the wall and attacked my vase (the flowers were moving from the heating). After that, he started pulling my shirts off the hangers
sometimes I just dont know what to do with him. I was inches from just locking him in the room with his food and little box. But I was good, I got up and followed him. Turns out he just wanted upstairs (the door between the upstairs and downstairs is closed at night) so he could stalk Tess.

That grumble grumble cat!

May I rant with you? The minute DH walked out of the house for church, Speck was into everything. Opening and shutting the kitchen cabinet where we keep the cat food. (He does have the courtesy to shut it back sometimes.) Then he moved on to the answering machine, which is the most fascinating thing in the house. He thinks the voice is coming from underneath it, so he tries to lift it up. Somehow he recorded something on it - I hope it did not take the place of our outgoing message (sounds like a lot of papers shuffling). Then while I was talking to my mom he stepped on the conference call button and put her on speakerphone. Then when I was talking to my cousin, he did it again. Then as soon as DH comes home from church, Speck switches back into the precious angel he is.

Oh my !! Mai Sai probably thinks 4 AM is the only decent time for a human to wake up, and Speck... Well he's just a little daddy's boy isn't he? Sooo annoying, yet sooo adorable!
