Not really about the care of cats, but I'll give it a shot here anyway.

My friend is trying to sell her house. Well, the cat she had about 5 years ago was sick and pee'd in the corner. The carpet's been replaced, but not the baseboard. She painted the baseboard over the weekend and the smell came back.

What can she do to get rid of the smell? Any particular products she can use? She doesn't want to replace the baseboard since she's moving. Sounds terrible, but can she just cover the smell with something? Air freshener isn't doing anything. Would an enymatic cleaner do anything at this point?

Ok...I broke out our "Bible" called The Queen of Clean!
This is what it says word for word:
Neutralize pet urine odor whith diluted white vinegar (25% vinegar to 75% water) sprayed on carpets. Always test in an inconspicuous spot before treating a large area.

For those of you looking for a foolproof product you can purchase to use in eliminating all odors with sucess, I highly recommend ODORZOUT, a 100% natural product that stops many odors almost on contact-odors such as urine, mold, mildew, smoke, foot odor, skunk, pain and virtually every odor you can smell. It is made of blended natural zeolite minerals, contains no perfumes and is 100% safe for use around children and pets. You can even use it in the cat litterbox. In my testing, I have found no odor it didn't work on. Call 1-800-88STINK for more information or order, or visit the website: www.88stink.com

Hope that helps you Heidi!

Shell, it's in the baseboard. The carpet has been replaced since the cat pee'd there.

Kathy, does the Nature's Miracle work on wood as well as carpet? She said it's really strange because the smell only came back after she painted the baseboard, so something in the paint re-activated it.
