hmm... well I'm sorry but.

am I the only one who thinks this cat should have been put down.
I believe in many cases humans should be allowed assisted suicide also.

If an animal is suffering, I'd rather just see it put down. It can be hard to
say how the animal will recover. Also you can't really imagine the pain he
could be under.

I'm not really in favor to preserve life in animals or humans if it entails too
much suffering. I hope you cat makes a full recovery.

I hope things work out for little Eek. It's tough sometimes to put a cat through the ordeals of painkillers and surgery and all the veterinary work... but I've always believed that if there's a chance at a better life for the cat, a chance for that full recovery and wonderful pampered life, then we should do whatever we can, whatever is within our ability.

Poor thing. That is terrible. I can only imagine how you are feeling.
I hope that your sweet kitty is recovering well, and that he isn't in too much pain. Sending thoughts and prayers that the surgery goes smoothly as well.

Wow that was harsh! If one of my children was in an accident of some sort I would do anything I possibly could to make them better, same goes for my cats! If there is a chance of survival with a healthy life to lead free of pain and full of happiness Im sorry but Im going for it! We all have seperate opinions, Im not against putting animals down when needed, If you look through some of my past entries Ive done it when the time was right! So I understand your opinion, I just disagree with it in this case, especially cause it hurts to have someone tell you that you did it wrong!

Thank you! It is tough to put him through it but I have an awesome update ya'll!!

Eek is doing well! He will be going under for surgery to correct his jaw next week and to fix the broken teeth and a couple other things!! HES GONNA BE OKAY!! He even tries to eat hard food but the little turkeys not suppose to!

To those of you who were worried, I got into a bad car accident! My airbag went off and scared me and burned me and I panic'd and jumped to the passenger seat which then also went off and burned me really bad! Alot of bumps and bruises but Ill be alright now!!

FOR THE METACAM HELPERS!!

Thank you! I do know the risk of metacam and that technically a cat is suppose to only have one dose in its lifetime! Eek did make it through okay with only 2 doses of it orally, but the shot he got at the vet was also metacam and he had a metacam shot at the vet when he got nuetered!! So he will have to be tested at least twice a year to guarentee that he does not have any damage caused by it! I have almost all the metacam they gave me left because I was overparanoid!!

I would also like to say that Eek was my rock through my accident, he stuck by me the whole time! We took care of each other. As others stated, he did end up with cage recovery due to the severeness of his injuries but he was only in there for two days before he started to feel better!

Its a total miracle he's alive and Im alive, but we are and we are doing well!!

The countdown begins, surgery will be on the 5th so please lend some vibes at this time! I appreciate all the well wishes, you are all just awesome!!

I do feel better, my burns are healing but the bruises are still coming! I have quite a collection at this moment in time!

Im just glad my Eek made it through it without too much pain! It was a hard ordeal for the whole family to deal with, hes a member of the family and it would be devastating to lose him!! I just dont think I could have handled it!

We had a dog get hit by a car but she died in my dads arms before we even could call a vet.
We would have done anything to keep her alive just like you are doing with Eek,

It makes it alot easier to treat a member of the family when things go wrong like with poor Eek! He's had alot happen to him in his life and he is just as tough as nails!

Wow. You guys have really been through it. I'm so glad Eek will be okay - I, too, have lost a few due to cars, and I, too, would have done anything humanly possible to have them back. Sounds like Eek and your family have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving & Christmas season.

Wow, you two have really been in the wars. Hope the surgery goes well. I would have kept him alive if at all possible, and if he would be ok, with long lasting ill effects, as there's no point loosing a life which could potentially be great. As someone else said, we are lucky to have the medical advances which can do this now.

Fingers crossed for both of you, and I wouldnt worry too much about the MEtacam, I have had loads of cats on it, and none have ever had any side effects, nor is there an issue of only having it once in their lifetime
