I was thinking of getting a nintendo ds, and after hearing so much of Nintendogs I looked for Nintencats, never saw it sold but looked anyway.

Turns out it WAS made in Japan, but hardly sold so they stopped selling it alltogether and never made if for the U.S. So then they made a game called "love cat life" for nintendo ds, a clone of Nintencats, it was a big hit there, but again, it's ONLY sold it Japan never made for the U.S.

So we got Purr Pals here instead which hardly has half the stuff Nintencats had from what i read but is the closest well ever see to it.

Not fair right!

Here is the article on it, says only 7 people outside Japan know of it, they can add us all now lol. Paris Hilton played it big LOL. I think it would have sold here!

With any sort of game not released over here, why not get an import? Most of the Japanese for something like that would probably be katakana and hiragana.
Other games aren't too hard (unless it's RPGs and dating sims... those can get hard to follow no matter what language they're in.)

Check ebay or amazon 0 sold they stopped selling it worldwide after a few rare releases. It virtually impossible to get.

Love cat life is sold but thats not the one they played in the U.S and trying to name it in japanese forget it lol.

I bet I could get a copy - I have a friend in Japan.
But I don't think it would be worth the money spent on shipping alone. Other options are Yahoo Japan auctions but you need a Japanese address for that. If I hadn't lost all of my links I could probably find it listed in some shops.

Do you want to know what I consider extremely difficult/impossible to get? A 8 dvd set + photobook and extras that came in a tin box from the last concert for the Japanese metal band Seikima-II. ...The thing comes up on Yahoo auctions sometimes at the starting price of around $1k.
someday..

I wouldn't do that unless you know that it will work Usually with game systems the games there do not work in the systems here and games here don't work in the systems there

^Modded systems. They're quite easy to buy premodded or if you have some skills with a solder iron (depending on the system), do it yourself. A lot of systems have solderless chips now, too. Of course if one has a modded DS they wouldn't need to import games...

The only thing that tends to be annoying is European games being in PAL.
