Good Morning! I apologize for being a bit later than usual this morning...I stayed up late last night to watch the hockey game, and I feel like I might be coming down with a cold this morning. I have a mandatory staff meeting at work this evening....but I just want to stay home and sleep!

Here's today's Question Of The Day....

Do you belong to any clubs, organizations, associations, guilds or groups?

I only belong to work related organizations. I belong to The AORN (Association of Operating Room Nurses), and The AST (Association of Surgical Technologists.) I went to a couple of meetings of The Piecemakers Quilt Guild, but I didn't know anyone, and it didn't feel like a good fit for me, so I didn't join.

MISA (for music industry people...I used to be a really active member, but not so much any more)
Wolf Rescue
Society of American Florists
If yoga counts, I got to my yoga groups classes religiously 3x a week

Opera Memphis, I used to be really active there, but once again haven't had time for that here lately.

Other than that I sing soprano when my friend's choir needs me too.

I'm a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 6 (Musician's Union, San Francisco).

I've been an on-and-off member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and the NMRA (National Model Railroad Association)... and I'm off right now, since adopting two rescue kitties this year blew a big hole in my hobby budget. No, I'm not complaining!
Of course, young cats and detailed scale models do not tend to play well with one another...

Oh! And I sing in my choir at church.

(This reminds me....it's time to pay my union dues.....

Hmmm, nope, not a member of anything I guess

When I was doing genealogy, I had things ready to obtain membership in DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), UDC (United Daughters of the Confederacy), DUVCW (Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War) and the Trail of Tears Association, but I ran out of money for research and membership dues so never sent them in.
I have everything packed away and could apply at some future date though.

I just joined Women's Horticulture Society-second meeting tonite.
Until May I was a member of the RHS (Royal Horticulture Society)-the dollar/pound conversion was killing me though but now that its better I should re-up!
I've been a member of the Green Bay Botanical Garden for 10 years.

Three choirs and a library organization, I need to join the Academy of Communication Arts and a friend has pratically shamed me into actually paying my dues to join the local arts council. (I have a sneaking suspicion they will put me to work once I'm officially on the rolls...) I also teach bellydance...
