I got a free trial bag of frozen raw diet for cats/dogs last night from my job (I work at a pet store PT). It's not going to harm my cat if I give her a little as a treat every once and a while, is it?
Thanks

Of course not. Many people feed their cats nothing but raw.

What are you concerned about?

her getting sick from not being use to it. Also since it is raw all the bactera that could make her sick. I think I'm just a paranoid mom that's all.

Could could try giving her just a small amount at first to be sure she can tolerate it OK.

As for bacteria, well, either you believe cats can safely eat raw food or you don't. Here are a couple of links you can look at:

If you only feed dry and canned ... thaw out a medallion or small piece to give and see the reaction... NO raw is not bad for but yes it can cause issues in delicate systems not used to it ..... cats are very good with bacteria generally speaking but I do note a few on here have lost cats thru raw food ....
