To confirm - they are Newsweek reporters who followed the McCain and Obama campaigns for the last year.
Interest things so far:
The Palin-McCain tension was overexaggerated
The Palin-McCain aides tension seems not to be overexaggerated - Palin came out and said the whole clothes affair was ridiculous, but was still ordering $20-40,000 worth of clothes after that for the family, so the aides were very peeved
The McCain aides couldn't believe she got sucked in to the Sarkozy prank, and were very annoyed about that.
McCain wanted Joe Lieberman, not Palin, and had even said such the day before they chose Palin.
The Republican campaign needs to sort themselves out. There was constant damaging leaks everywhere from the Republicans, whereas the Democrats ran a tight ship, and seemed more in control.
There's been nothing "damaging" about Obama yet.
