Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But the Marines don't have that problem."

I come from a very long line of military service men and women. My family represents every branch of the military; The Marines, The Army, The Navy, and most recently, The Air Force. One of my biggest contracts for Digital ID'ing is the DOD and I get my chemo treatments at the Veteran's Administration hospital here in Richmond - (Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Center if anyone is interested). I get to talk to all "my boys" while I wait for the people to hook me up to my needle.

My father-in-law is a Marine (maybe not as mean, maybe not as lean, but ALWAYS a Marine!) and was recently honored to be invited to participate in the Charlotte North Carolina Veteran's Day parade. He had a great time and got up with a lot of his brothers that day.

My grandfather was a Marine - it defined who he was throughout his life. He was always so proud of having served his country in the USMC.

A well-deserved very Happy Birthday to the United States Marines!!!

As a former Air Force Wife and Daughter, as well as granddaughter/sister/cousin/friend/etc to every other branch of the military, I have to say, our Marines have my deepest utmost respect. I deeply appreciate the work they have devoted their lives to. I also want to say a special Thank You for the sacrifices we'll never know you made!
