I'm thinking she's a tortoiseshell too. Everyone keeps going back and forth with it, but it seems more people are saying Torti, over Calico. So, she's a Tortie then!

We just adopted ANOTHER cat from the SPCA. This will be our last one until the 2 we have pass on. (I always say that and always end up getting more animals...!) This one is named Savannah. She is 3 years old. She's a Bobcat/Bengal Cat mix. Apparently, the owners got a new kitten, and 'disposed' of Savannah because she wasn't a kitten anymore. Poor thing. She's very loving. She doesn't like our dogs, but it will take time. I just picked her up yesterday. Adopted her on Tuesday, she got fixed Wednesday, and now she's home! I'm considering re-naming her. Savannah is what the SPCA named her. So, I could change it if I wish. She doesn't seem to like her name. Cosi loves her name. lol.

And two of Cosette (Cosi) for good measure.

Drill kitty!

Your kitties are beautiful! There is another member that has a Cosette here.

Wow, Savannah has such interesting markings and coloring. I think that was a really good idea to adopt another kitty - even though people say cats are independent, they seem to do better with company as a rule.

Alyssa, you are to be commended for taking on that sweet kitten, despite your allergies. I grew up with allergies myself, and was always wary of cats...until I acquired one. And then another. And another...

You know what they say is the best way to combat cat allergies? Having multiple cats! True story, I read that. Just sayin'.

Hello & welcome to tcs. I would also call Cosi a torty. Here are a couple of my mum's torty. The 1st one about 10 yrs ago & the next at 17 y/o. The vet also called my cat Blossom a torty too but I say calico because of her white bits. I didn't want another one as Coco, who used to be our cat is a cranky puss. Friendly though. Always come to say hello when you come home.

There's another member with a Cosette?! Nice!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I love Savannah's markings. She's one cool cat. My husband loves her. He said he likes Cosette last because she gets into everything. (but she's only 6 months...so it's understandable.)

Having allergies absolutely sucks, but I've been doing fine with them here because I have been taking Claritin. There was even a couple days that went by when I didn't take it, and was doing fine. So, I guess my body is building up an immunity! I'm sure it also helps that I give Cosi a weekly bath to help with my allergies, and I rub an allergen reducer into Savannah's coat. I'm not sure how well she will do with baths yet. She has her stitches in, (which get taken out tomorrow), so I haven't been able to try giving her one yet. She does love water though. I turn on the faucet and she comes running. She lets it run all over her head...so maybe she'll be good with a bath!

So, I took Savannah to the vet on Friday to have her stitches taken out. The vet said the SPCA was incorrect about what Savannah is mixed with. He said DEFINITELY Bengal, but no bobcat. He's not sure what the other half of her is. Ah well. She does have a sever upper respitory infection, which I just got medicine for her, and for Cosi, since Cosi contracted it as well. Savannah has still been throwing up a lot, and has diarrhea. The vet said it's a combination of the medicine & her infection, but if it keeps up after she's done her meds, to bring her back in.
