Oh gosh, thanks guys! TCSers are the greatest people ever.

Looks like your powerful vibes have tided Noodle through his first major milestone - I'm glad to update that Noodle has woken from surgery.

The vet was apparently horrified at the Xray images and operated immediately despite being busy. The only update I've been able to get is that the tear in his diaphragm is rather fresh. They were able to get it patched up, but he's still in critical condition and will need to be monitored closely.

Still, its a really good thing that he's made it this far. I think his fate would have been sealed if my friend hadn't found him and cared enough to bring him to us.

Noodle still needs your vibes and well-wishes for his continued recovery and improvement!

More for cute little Noodle!

I hope he's young and spunky enough for a full recovery!

Poor little darling! Lots of that you'll have a healthy kitty before long.

FWIW - one of my parents' cats has a hernia and had his intestines move around before they found it. He's a very happy 17 yrs old now and it hasn't slowed him down at all.

Thank you all for your vibes, they have continued to work their special TCS-brand magic. Noodle is still soldiering on!
I'm considering taking the afternoon off to go visit. Work-wise, its not really advisable because I have this huge workshop to facilitate tomorrow and I have to make sure my preparations are done. On the other hand, I really miss the little bugger
The friend who brought him to the vet for his surgery will try to visit later. Meanwhile she's been calling the vet every few hours to check for updates. I'll be sure to keep you guys posted
Meanwhile,
to everyone for caring so much and being so generous with your prayers and vibes

Noodle has been discharged. My friend who picked him up says he's very weak and unhappy. He will need 2-hourly feedings of water and carnation milk, and of course, will need to be kept warm. Please keep him in your prayers.

i'm sure he is feeling really down in the dumps, poor little guy, but i'm also sure it won't be long before he starts to improve.

we're all thinking of you and noodle. for him to find some of that kitten magic that will help to pull him through.

It's great that you guys are at least trying for this little kitten. I hope he pulls through, but if not, at least you and the vet have done the best you can.

Just as a passing note, for some reason I suspected internal injuries. Something about the way his nose looked just gave me a feeling. I wish I had been wrong.

So lucky to have you guys doing all this for him
You`re amazing.

Many vibes for Noodle to get better soon so he can get back to 'kitten business'

I'm so sorry to report that our brave little trooper has lost his fight. He passed away last evening, as I was rushing back from work. I didn't get to say goodbye.

The vet discharged him so quickly (the day after his major surgery) because he knew that Noodle was probably not going to make it and wanted us to be with him when he went.

Wondering if it was even the right thing to do, sending him in for surgery. If we hadn't, he may still be alive and happy. Perhaps he would not live long, but he wouldn't have had to spend his final days in pain, misery and confusion. Anyhow, its too late for that now.

I keep remembering how affectionate he was, always purring, always wanting to be near people, always mewing his little soft mew as if he had lots of stories to tell us.

I miss him.

Oh no!!!

I thought I was going to read a happy ending because w treat many cats ith one lung who are dong fine (with continued treatment and follow up).

It sounds as though Noodle must have had so many complications. Please never doubt your actions - you weer doing the best for him and you gave him lots of love and care and more than man kittens with his problems might have received.
I know that does not lessen the pain but just consider the wonderful time yu shared with him and all the wonderful help and love you did give him!!!

oh dear... So heartbreaking! Please don't second guess yourself. You did the best you could, and it's much more hope and love than he would have had without you. He will live on in your heart...

oh no! i'm so sorry. i guess the little guy was only meant to be here for a short while.

i echo the other posters in that you did the best for noodle. it is unbearable to think how he would have suffered had you and your friend not saved him.

i know that when we lose our babies, be it in just days or hopefully, after many years, we still question whether we did the right thing by them. it is clear that you acted unselfishly and with compassion and love. to have even had a few days of unconditonal love is better than to have died alone, frightened and in pain.

i know he will be bouncing around with little wukong now, exchanging stories of the wonderful love you bestowed on them.

for you.
