Last night as I was falling asleep, something came on the news about a deer who'd gotten its head stuck in a plastic Halloween pumpkin and run off. Does anyone know if the deer's okay?

When I got up this morning, I looked it up on the internet. Apparently there was a similar incident in 2006 and that deer eventually got the pumpkin off its head, but I can't find any (good) news about the Cleveland deer.

I saw that on the news, too. That is so sad that poor bab. I would like to know what happened, too.

Mews2much,

If you check the date on that article, that's from the 2006 incident where the same thing happened to another deer.

So far I haven't been able to find any good news about the Cleveland deer. I've read that they've been able to get within about 40 yards of it but that's all.

For some reason, it just makes me heartsick to think of that poor deer running around like that.

WOW, I can not believe this story made it across the whole country
I work for the city where this deer is at. (Police/Fire/911 dispatcher) It's in a suburb of Celevalnd. The deer was last seen on November 4th and there has been no sign of it since then. We believe the plastic pumpkin fell off. The deer was a young button buck and the strap was hooked around his little nubs on the top of it's head. No one found the plastic pumpkin either, but the person who taped the video, has stated he has seen a young buck in the area, the same area the deer with the pumpkin was seen. We feel the deer may have been able to get that bucket off it's head.
