Hmmmmm sounds like my kind of dinner

Tonight I am having Shrimp Alferdo, and some garlic bread. I also have some turtles ice cream I think I may just have to have some of.

I found a sweet recipe for Greek chicken and potatoes that I'm going to try for the first time tonight. Can't wait! Jess is so picky, so it's hard to find things we both like... a lot of the time, end up eating different things. I think this is something we can both appreciate!

Last night I put a roast in the crockpot, and we made french dip sandwiches out of the roast meat. Oh my was it good
I will definitely be doing that again.

Tonight I'm trying another new recipe called Bacon Cheeseburger Rollup. Hamburg with cheese and bacon rolled up in pizza dough. Hope it's good as last night's dinner.

Tonight's dinner is some leftover beef and vegetable stew that I made in the crockpot earlier this week

Tonight is the Clam Chowder I've been going to do for a while. Some nice bread with it, and probably a bit of salad.

A friend sent me a "5-minute chocolate mug cake" recipe a little while ago. I think we'll give that a try, too. The recipe looks good, and the idea of whipping up a one-meal chocolate cake in the microwave really resonates. We'll see how that goes.

Probably have mashed potatos and gravy, green beans and a salad with it. A good fall meal (with LOTS of leftovers!)
I sure wish my DH would make requests! He's no help at all, when I ask him what he wants for dinner. He is easy to please, but it means I have to decide what's for dinner AND make it. He can cook two things....chili dogs and take&bake pizza!
When we first got together he lived on canned soup and sandwiches...poor bachelor!

Anyway, tonight I made Beer Batter fish from the fish he caught deep sea fishing, cauliflower & broccoli, and Pepperjack Risotto cakes from Omaha Steaks. Yummy!

I really like the whats for dinner threads...it gives me ideas, and I need all the help I can get!

Homemade broccoli and potato soup with smoked gouda, served in a bread bowl (didn't make that)

Mine makes requests too, but he helps with dinner too quite often as we both enjoy making dinner. He is great on the grill, that is his domain. It took us years to learn to cook.

Chowder sounds like a really good idea today, it is pretty chilly here.
I am not a big fan of clam chowder but make a reallly great seafood chowder with shrimp, salmon, crabmeat, and potatoes.

Guess I know what's for dinner tonight, with some nice crusty bread.

I roast broccoli in the oven with olive oil, doesn't smell that bad, whatever it's worth it, it's SO good

I've never roasted it before?!. How long Helen 20-30 minutes?. And do you just spray or drizzle the oil over it?

I just put it on a baking sheet and drizzle the olive oil over then some salt, I am not a pepper person, then I roast it @ 400 - 450 degrees for around 8-10 minutes, I like it browned a bit, it's SO GOOD
