peace out!

I have a peace lily that has been growing steadily for a couple of years and looking really healthy. But it hasn't flowered for ages - until now! I'm very pleased to finally see it flowering.

Just thought I'd share.

It's beautiful, and that second photo is so artistic, too! But as I understand it, that's one of the deadliest plants for cats... isn't it?

I think it is poisonous, but the kitties don't chew on it. There are quite a few plants that they've never showed an interest in - broadleaf ones basically. Now my spider fern on the other hand.... I've had to put in a shelf in the bathroom specifically for those types of plants to keep them safe from each other.
I'm going to plant some more cat grass this winter to give them something safe to chew on.

Spathiphyllum are toxic to cats, all members of the lily family are.
That is one gorgeous spath.
I've never had a problem with any of my cats chewing my plants, however, they love to pee in them, so I only keep hanging plants now
