Accidentally bought kitten food

While in a rush to grab Niko some food the other day, I accidentally got him Authority's Chicken & Lamb Kitten food as opposed to the regular Chicken Adult formula. I looked at the ingredient and analysis listings for each, and they don't seem /too/ different (other than the obvious addition of lamb). The main differences seem to be that the kitten food has a little more protein and fat than the adult formula, as well as the addition of dried beet pulp as the 8th ingredient, while the adult formula has no dried beet pulp at all.

Should I feed him a little less on account to the extra fat content, or not even worry about it?

Yeah I don't see a problem either, it's just packed with more fats and protein to plump up a kitten. There isn't going to be much harm on his part

Yeah that's what I'd do. Yuo can also mix that w/ regular food that way your cat's not eating it all at once. That's what I'm doing to my 6/mo and 1.5 year old cats.

I'm assuming its open? If not, return it to the store. If its open, then I'd go get another bag and mix the two together and feed.

Actually, it's wet food, not dry.. I shoulda mentioned that in the initial post. I would have returned the cans if I had noticed it earlier.. the receipt has been long tossed out.

And thank you all for the responses and for easing my concerns. Sometimes I get made fun of for paying such close attention to my bebe's food (not by you guys, of course), but I just had to make sure all was right as rain.
