The U.S. elections are over, and all TCS/IMO criteria apply to posts

Given the emotional responses usual during election campaigns, particularly one as heated as that which ended on November 4th, a decision was reached by the TCS team to moderate with a very light hand in the run-up to the elections. In other words, posters were given more leeway than usual.

That "period of grace" has now ended, and we ask that all posters observe the TCS and IMO posting rules, which you can review here:

Thank you for your cooperation, and please

Can we throw all the pre-election threads into the MOAT? Please?

Although I'd love to throw them all into the MOAT, I figured it would be less confusing if they were simply closed. They should all slip off the first page soon enough.

Bump!

The original post to this thread applies also to any new political posts.

I'm surprised there ARE any. I'm pretty tired of politics right now.

Wait until the inauguration.

Well, c'mon now. Isn't it traditional to give the new guy at least 100 days?

That reminds me that last week on Bill's show he had a pretty good op-ed piece about two right-wing talk show hosts who pretty much as vowed they would do everything they could to make sure the Obama administration wasn't successful. For cryin' out loud, I'm no Democrat, but is this the right kind of attitude? No; in fact Bill pretty much as said it was un-American and even brought up the question of treason. I wouldn't go that far myself, but I think it behooves every American of every political persuasion to support their President and hope he/she has success. Or at least until the sitting President proves a total disregard for the American people, like in the case of a certain lame-duck we know. And in that case, it's not the people that have failed the President, it's the President that has failed the people.

Did I say I was tired of politics? I am; that was short for me for a post on a hot-button topic of mine.

Is it just me or does this forum seem a bit anticlimactic with the election being over?

Oh, well. I look forward to blasting away at the next administration, too. Politicians are so easy to rip apart there's almost no sport in it.

Well, you could always try the old standby -- start up a declawing thread.
