Need help with breeding in ILL (laws)

Hi everyone. We are wanting to start breeding Persians and Himalayans. We have a breeder that is going to retire that is in Mo. and is willing to help us out with the in and outs of breeding. We live in Granite City , IL and have contacted City Hall and they are clueless about if we need a breeders permit or anything, There is a cap of 3 cats in a household and not sure if that is lifted if we are going to do a cattery or not. Any information anyone can give us would be greatly appreciated. Worst case if there is nothing we can do in Granite City, ILL. We have been talking about moving anyways is there in cities around this area that would allow us to do a cattery , Just nothing in the state of MO.

I know there is a limit on the number you can have, but really don't know if there is a cattery permit for more. You could do a search for breeders (of any breed) in Illinois and email them and see what you get.
