My poor boy... he's seemed to have hurt himself.

It appears to be some kind of front paw injury. There doesn't seem to be any blood that I can see or swelling... and although he's not completely limping... he does seem to be favoring it.

I have some metacam that expired in June of this year... do you think it would be safe to give to him?

He's so miserable!! Like I said.. he's walking on it, but I can tell he's not himself. poor baby

Please take him to the vet for proper treatment! Metacam is a dangerous drug that can cause serious problems for cats. Would you give yourself an expired drug?

I would not use the metacam, it is expired which to me would be a no go and if there is ever a problem with my kitty he goes to vet where he can be treated. That would be my advice to you. If he has hurt his paw he really aught to be seen by a vet. Also, cats are very good at hiding pain so it is definately worth having it checked out.

your poor kitty!y Itty Bitty was limping a couple of weeks ago, and we took her to the vet...poor baby had a hairline fracture
she healed quickly...but you never know???Your best bet would be to take him to the vet!I know money is tight around this time of the year, but you would feel horrible if it is something that he really needed to see a vet for and you didn't take him!It is a bad idea to ever give a cat something without it being prescribed (not to mention expired) it could make your cat very sick, and you don't know what the right dose is or if it is even the right medicine for what is wrong with him.Again good luck and I hope your kitty feels better soon!!
