Today I woke up (at 4:30) to Mai Sai biting my nose and crying (which is odd because he is on the whole a quiet cat). So I get up and follow him into the main room of the basement.

I was shocked! Everything was off the top of the dresser, the roll of baiting my room mate uses for quiting was laying out half unrolled and worse of all, he had somehow tipped over the quieting frame, with the top leaning against the wall and all four legs laying down. This is quiet a feat. The legs are big and heavy soild wood and the frame was firmly on it.

Lucky I got everything cleaned up before my room mate woke up and what does he do? as soon as I set the frame up he jumps on to of it
I had to pick him up and take him into my room and shut the door.

Sometimes I dont know what I'm going to do with that cat

They can't resist what they is forbidden. It's in the kitty bill of rights.
I hope your roomate can be understanding...can you put the quilting stuff away overnight or when your not home?

Sadly I can't, It's about 3 feet by 5 feet and she keeps a quilt on it at all times, so I'm afraid I can't put it up.

your right lol atleast he let me know what happened before my room mate got up and threw him into the snow (as she has been threatening to do).

He really is a good kitty for the most part, I just got to break down and get him a few toys to play with at night. He does have a few balls and mice, but I guess he needs more.

He was saying, "Meowmy! Come quick! You gotta help me with this!!! I made a messie and I don't know how to fix it!"

Actually, that's a very smart cat you have there!

thats a great way of putting it, I just wish he wouldn't have made such a mess.

Thank you, he is really is a smart cat. He is the only cat I've had that will go get his toy and drop it at my feet when he wants to play.

Geez what a mess he made! Well, is it possible to shut the door to the room where the equipment is? Or perhaps have Mai Sai sleep in your room at night?

Maybe look into a deterrent like this. They have a motion detector and spray air when set off. A couple around the quilting frame might keep your little darling away from it.

Warning though - I found that DH will set these things off more than the cat.

yeah, Meeka has learned how to open the door to my room. she just jumps from one side of the door, and paws and swings. I've always wonder who kept opening the door (thought it was the room mate), but i set her up and figured out the culprit. Silly Kitty.

I'm sorry. That is so funny. When Chandler Ray was younger, I never knew what I was going to wake up to, (or come home to). Not so funny for the roommate. She nees to get a sense of humor!

this is a good idea, this is going on my list (of things to get after I do my christmas shopping).

For the mean time, I guess I'll just have to keep him in my room. I always feel bad doing that, he loves to play at night, but I guess it just has to happen.
