How sad, indeed. How fortunate that he was able to clear space for a short visit.

How sad and how ironic. At least he got to say goodbye to her. And from the article she went peacefully.

Very sad, indeed.

I am glad he was able to see her and spend a couple of days with her before she passed. I'm glad he made that his priority.

I'm sure it will make tomorrow very bittersweet for him, no matter the result of the election. I'm sure she was very proud of what he had accomplished.

It is sad. Just one day. How sad for the family.

That is so sad. Just one more day and she could have seen her grandson be the next President of the United States. I'm sure she will be watching over him in spirit.

May she rest in peace.

While he isn't my candidate, I do wish to offer prayers and support to him and his family. I don't wish something like this on anyone, especially the night before the election. It's so sad she couldn't see the results, but in the article she did say in her eyes he accomplished everything he needed to do to be successful. (paraphrasing).

May she rest in peace. It's really sad that she didn't get to experience such a personally important Election Day.

I heard this on the way to the poll this morning. I heard his speech about her and was amazed that he was able to keep it together.
May she R.I.P.

I almost cried when I heard the news, it's so sad. One day before the election he was likely to win.. being the first black man to be president of the United States! R.I.P indeed, and sincere condolences to Barack Obama.
