soon to be first time cat owner

Hello all!

After 3 years of constant bagering and mooning over kittehs on petfinder, my husband has finally given in and we're in the process of looking for a cat to adopt

I've been reading a bunch of cat related books and hounding my cat loving friends for information, and I thought, why not find a message board full of cat lovers to pester with my endless stream of questions as well? As such, here I am. I'm looking forward to hanging with ya'll and posting a picture of the newest member of our family, once we find him/her.
