How you mispronounce other member's usernames in your head?

We've had threads like this before, but it's always fun. Some members names defy pronunciation, and some you just get in the habit of mispronouncing in your head. How do you mispronounce other member's names?

Here are a couple of mine:

psjauntie in my mind is "P.S. Jaunty"

skippymjp is inexplicably "Skippy Jump"

sillyitaliangrl is somehow "Silly Tillia Girl"

I'm sure I have more...what are yours?
I think PS Jaunty as well - I guess that isn't right

I read "snosrap5" as "snozz-rap 5"

There's also someone whose name I read horrendously wrong every time, but I'm having a mental blank on the username. I'll let you know when I find it...
Love this ! I know there are more, but for some reason Skippympj for me tends to become Skippypbj...........
I always say katachtig as Kah-tah-ching!

psjauntie is pj's auntie.

mrblanche is Mr. Blanche

I was going to say, everyone has mine wrong!

And we discovered this weekend that "Buttzie" is really Bootsie!

No, no, no -- not like boot, but like foot! A fine distinction...

And KK, I do the peanut-butter thin in my head, too!

Since I avoid IMO like the plague, I rarely encounter her, but I know there's someone whose name is a jumble of consonants that I pronounce "Clucklebuv."
She hasn't been around for a bit, but I always said Phenomenal for Phenomsmom

and I occasionally include the x in xLaydeexTaniax so it sounds like Lay-deeks-Tan-e-aks all in one word

I say snosrap5 as snow-srap but no idea if that is right

ckblv! I think of it as 'cukbluv'
And mrblanche is Mr Blanche to me too.

And that remains true no matter how often I say I'm "Mike," and MR are my initials, not my title.

Ah, but screen names can be so interesting. I'm know as "Tub T" many places.

And even though I know that those are your initials, I cannot get it right. Ever.
I'm semi dyslexic so this should be interesting.

I now read MRBlanche as Mike. It did take some serious effort to retrain my brain though.

And valanhb comes out in my head as VanalB

I can't think of any offhand from here, but I belong to another message board and one of the members has the username Tribrats. I always say it in my head like "Trib-rats" but it's really supposed to be Tri-brats.
I guess I think of "Trib" because my brother used to work for the "Trib" aka the Chicago Tribune and the rats because I have pet rats...

Mr. Blanchee
Cat Mint i always say it as if there should be an "a" inbetween..... "Catamint"

Everytime I see that I think of "Van Halen"!

What about avatars? Do they mess with your head too? For some reason I picture HopeHacker looking like Paul Stanley. Everytime I hear a KISS song, I think of her (seriously!)

Close . it's Fast NOC. (Fast Knock)

NOC stands for Network Operations Center. it's a company i own. For consulting. I should have made my username FastNOC which is accurate.

Great idea for a thread

There`s quite a few I get wrong like SkimpyJack But even when I realise I`m wrong it`s hard to start saying it differently.

Oh, and I`ve only recently learned how to pronounce Eithne ( Sorry Icklemiss! )

What gets me is when I'm used to seeing one person with a specific avatar then some one else begins using the same one. I have to double check the UN to see who it is.
I just found one today! I always pronounce psjauntie as PS Jauntie and then i saw today that she lives in Port St John so it's actually PSJ Auntie!!

also, it took me forever to realize that emrldsky was Emerald Sky not emeraldski, like I thought she might be Polish
post #24 of 67
And when I see Nekochan, I think of the candy, Necco, so the name is Necco-chan in my mind.
I imagine most are wrong via my mild dyslexic and dysphraxic brain...

Hey, I think everyone gets that wrong!

I do quite a few that have already been mentioned:
Mr Blanche; pj's Auntie = psjauntie; vallen hab = valanhb; cat-ta-ching = katachtig; snows rap = snosrap; and butzie will always be buttsy to me!!
Aside from thinking "Mr. Blanche", "katachtig" comes out as Cat Achtzig (German "80"), and "butzie" as "putzig" (impish or mischievous) in my mind. "fastnoc" seems too much like Fasnacht (Shrove Tuesday or Carnival), and "valanhb" always calls forth images of Prince Valiant. When I see "felineorc", I picture a killer whale with cat ears and whiskers!
Bnwalker2 is "barnwalker" to me.

Eilcon is sometimes "I'll con" and other times "eel con".

skippymjp is "skippy m'jeep"

Cool thread!!!
For me, if I know the persons real name, I automatically think of that and don't really pay any attention to the user name. However, icklemiss21 is still just ickle miss because I'm not sure how to pronounce Eithne sorry
post #30 of 67
The one for me was lnbandcats. Didn't know if it was a capital "I" or an "L"; either way didn't make sense to me until I was lucky enough to be her Secret Santa last year. Then I realized her name is Ellen; hence--Ellen B and Cats.
