Hey everyone. I have kind of an odd question. I have a three year old little girl who is spayed, and I'm quite sure she's never had kittens. Today, I was rubbing her belly and I noticed that one of her nipples is harder than the others. The hardness seems to be because of a white crust that's either attached or stuck to it. I didn't want to hurt her, so I didn't try to remove it. Should I be worried? What could this be? And is it normal? Also, is it making her uncomfortable?

If anyone can tell me any information about cat nipples and possible problems they can have, I would greatly appreciate it. Anything will help because all I can do right now is worry.

Thank you all so much.

It's possible for her to get a cyst, tumor, or infection in a nipple, even if she's never had kittens. I would have it checked as soon as you can (which I'm sure was your plan, anyway). You might try gently cleaning it with a washcloth soaked in warm water, in the meantime.
