Right now my girls are freaking out! We have the door open (we have a screened security door) and it is raining. The last time it really rained here it was too cold to have the door open, so the girls have never seen rain. They keep running up to the door, and a drop or two will get them. They keep looking back at me as if to say "What the heck?" It is cute to watch them.

That is what is funny... they don't have any reaction to me in the shower. I think it was just they had never seen it outside. They don't ever go out, but they lay in front of the door all the time when we have it open.

We don't get much rain here, but when we do Ana loves to go out run a lap of the yard and come back inside - then she's happy

That's soooo funny!
When mine used to go out (supervised only), the boys acted like it was fun (as long as it was just a mist or so), but The Princess ... well, would a princess get her feet wet? It was hillarious watching her dip her paw, look at me, try it again, then jumping over what she perceived as the "wet spot."

This reminds me of the first time Max went out in the snow. He was only a kitten at the time and he kept putting his paw down then picking it up straight away again. He came in soon and didn't go out again until most of the snow had melted. Neither of them will go out in the rain. Frank will yowl at us as if he thinks we can turn it off and Max will notice its raining and proceed to spend the whole day in my bed.
