It was like a scene from a horror flick and on Halloween too!

I step outside this morning to the loudest racket coming from lots and lots of birds.

I walk over to the garden shed where we have more trees and the trees are filled with hundred of birds-blackbirds they were!!

I must be on a migratory path!! I could yell at them and a flock would just move to another tree.

Spooky!!!!

Very Alford Hitchcock! Birds freak me out and my walk from my parking garage to work takes me past a building that tons of pigeons roost on. It's creapy when I get to the building and they all take to flight!

There is usually several times on the falls when we have hundred of birds flocking in the tree, but very coincidental that I noticed it on Halloween.

My neighbour has a wonderful old maple tree that tons of birds like to roost in. Right now it's a resting spot for lots of noisy crows that keep my boys entertained.

When I went outside on the front porch earlier today there were dozens of some sort of assassin bugs all over the place. The dark grey ones that have black wings and a wedge of orange near their butt.
It was a little weird but at least they weren't flies - that would have been really strange.

Edit: trying to figure out the exact type of assassin bug they are... the closest in body shape is some types of Triatoma. I know they can't be, but now I'm creeped out, I don't think I'll go out the front door if they're there tomorrow.
