Also got one of those big mix bags with Hershey products, plus Twizzlers b/c I know my bf will eat them. Anything left over and I am going to call around to some of the churches or shelters here and see if they would like the leftovers for any unfortunate kids.
You should live in my neighborhood. No time in the past 13 years we have lived here has anyone showed up to trick or treat. I stopped even leaving out candies. I just eat them.

Trick or treating hasn't really been big here in the past - it's an American import

We have been getting more knocks at the door in recent years though - but no egging. They're all little children about 5 - 8 years who come round with their parents. In anticipation we got a mixed tin of chocolate sweets just in case this year.

Good job we did, we had about 8 different visits, around 4 or 5 children each time. All went away happy - our sweetie tin is looking quite bare now
Looking at their goodie bags I'm sure the parents are in for a quite a night of "I don't feel well"

Milky Way! My favorite. And we live in the middle of nowhere, so I guess I'll have to keep all the candy.

It's 6:35 local time, well after dark, I've not seen one spook, one pirate, one witch. Nothing, absolutely nothing. I've still got these 2 huge bowls of candies.

I suppose I'm set up for keeping my candy dishes full for a few months.

It's going on 10:00 here, and I haven't had anybody at all! There isn't a soul outside, except for my poor jack-o-lantern.

I bought a solitary bag of Nestle Crunch, since I didn't get a lot of kids last year. But now here I am. Alone with a whole bag of chocolate.

Hmm. Alone. Bag of chocolate. Muahaha!!!

We've been ready for the goblins since 5 o'clock. It's just gone 7, and there has not been one single ring of the doorbell. Poor Jack is lonely.

Weâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]re going to be one of the “good houses†this year! I hope we get lots of kids – we have a TON of candy! We may have to freeze some (so if my Secret Santa gets Halloween Candy, you know why!) We have:

Reeseâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s Peanut Butter Cups
Kit Kats
Almond Joy
Hersheyâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s Chocolate Bars
Whoppers
Caramel Twix
3 Musketeers
Crunch Bars
Double Bubble
Blow Pops
Red Vines

I think thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s all.
We have a HUGE bowl ready to go, and I think like 4-5 bags of extras to refill if necessary.
Man! I am comin' to your house!!

We didn't do ANYTHING for holloween. All the kids around here are right at that age, if we had little ones, say up through elementary/lower middle school, I would be. But these kids are all upper middle school and highschool. Too old IMO. Plus, they are just brats...

Yeah, I overbought big time - we actually had one gaggle of kids come through and I let them take whatever they want. I still have a big bowl of candy that I will HAVE to give away.

It was a good thing we got so much extra candy - we were flooded with kids this year! I actually refilled the bowl twice.

Best costume by FAR was a kid in a Mario Kart. No really - IN a Mario Kart! He was Mario and had the little car made out of paper mache, and it was really good!

There were a bunch of older kids, but they were all wearing costumes so I think that's fair. As long as they go to the trouble of donning costumes, they can have candy. I did it for way too long too, but I always spent a lot of time and effort on my costume.

We didnt have our first knock until 6:30, but I just listened and didnt answer

I told Jim I wasnt feeling that great, so he brought home about 10 bags full of candy anyway. I felt bad one of the doorbell rings that I didnt answer, I was eating an almond joy, petting a cat, watching TV and listening to the the doorbell ringing.
