One of my colleagues at work (my office-mate, actually
) celebrates the Day of the Dead, but has to work this weekend and I was hoping to make him some sugar skulls as a bit of a present.

I know it's an odd request, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a good recipe.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks!
I'll give those a try...they don't look too hard.
Famous last words...I know.

You really need a mold for the skulls. I've tried shaping them by hand and it is much more difficult than it seems. You might also want to brush a little cocoa powder on them when you are done - it shades in the cracks and eye sockets and makes them look really good! Hope you have fun making them... post pics if you get a chance!

Actually no.
He was born in Canada and lived here his whole life, but his parents lived in Mexico for 9 years.

It's been awhile since I made any (cuz I ate them til I puked & now feel sick every time I look at them
)....but I do remember that they were hard to shape - like SwampWitch said.
