Anybody getting snow yet?

I love snow...we didn't get any in our area last year. It got chilly today and was snowing a little in some parts of the mountains. If I could convince DH to move to Maine, I'd probably do it in a heartbeat.

We got our first snowfall this past Saturday It didn't stay on the ground or anything, but it was so pretty, I love snow!

Aww boo.....

We had some during the night and none of it stuck. I won't be super excited until I can SEE the snowflakes falling!!!

It was so pretty I figure, living in Minnesota, you have to like snow

We had a few flakes this afternoon, but nothing that stuck.

The Mountains here had snow a few weeks ago but there will be alot this weekend.

a few little flurrying snowflakes this afternoon - but we will get "hosed" sooner or later - after all - it's Michigan!

We got our first snow fall over 2 weeks ago. It's been nice around here lately and all the snow is gone for now. But I have no doubt it will be back with a vengeance soon enough.

Thankfully no snow yet. I hope it snows for christmas but then goes away and never comes back.

Or at least not be -50 again.
I hope not...Lol!!! haha

We had some flurries last week and a few more this weekend, but nothing that suck yet...even though its been chilly enough.

I can't complain, though. I can't wait for some good skiing weather...besides Cotton's SO happy that the furnace is back on, afterall, sleeping in front of a furnace grate just isn't as much fun if it doesn't come on.

Well we got a snow shower on Sunday - didn't last. But was windy as heck. Just read that NY, Vermont, parts of PA had some accumulations.

It's snowing here right now. I live in the snow belt and we're getting lake effect snow tonight. :-( It's supposed to be 60 degrees on Halloween though. Go figure!

It's snowing here right now, actually, and while it didn't stick all afternoon, now that the temperature is dropping, it's starting to get white outside. I think we're supposed to get 2 -4 inches tonight. And hey, it's not even Halloween! I'm so dreading the rest of the Winter!
We had flurries last Wednesday for most of the day and also a few flakes coming down today. The ground is still to wet to hold it but if we get a couple of good frosts that will change pretty quickly.
The weatherman said we had a trace of snow on the 17th?? Funny I don't remember that!
We had small flurries a couple times yesterday though-no accumulation here but some in the northern parts of Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan.

Can't snow until we haul in our firewood needs for the winter yet!!

We are supposed to get snow tonight. I have my winter tires on .

Can you send some of that cold weather over here?

We are still in the high 80's here during the day...

LOL yeah and you're sending it down our way. Thanks a lot!

Today, on my one break at work, the rain changed to sleet, to snow, to rain, to sleet, to snow....you get the idea. It couldn't make up it's mind what it wanted to do.

So far no real snow accumulation, although they are calling for up to 7" in the mountains (where I work...not where I live), so tomorrow could get interesting. It's amazing what a difference a 30 minute drive can make when you are going from a valley to the top of a mountain. It's a completely different world up there. At home, we're just getting rain but at work they will have 6" of snow, sleet, ice, you name it.

I really hate winter.

Well, it didn't snow here last night, but it did drop below freezing. I'm sure the snow will be coming soon enough

That is soooo true. I remember being stationed at Twentynine Palms, CA, and remember it being 105 in the shade, and seeing snow on Mt. San Gorgonio.

It's been snowing here since 6:00 yesterday, the wind is howling and snow is piling up. But it only means that I can go skiing earlier this year
post #24 of 27
We had snow yesterday (and we all had a snow ball fight at the kennels ) but it hasn't stuck over at my house
post #25 of 27
we got some last night and it's still here, there was a lot of wind too a ton of people lost power. But about 2 cm still on the ground. It looks like a winter wonderland and now I have to find my boots!

Wow...I am so envious of even the smallest bit of snow. I have a friend in Montana and she posted the most beautiful pictures of a snowstorm they had last year. (She said it looked pretty, but almost turned into "The Shining" at her house, lol.)

Well, okay, so it rarely snows down to our elevation in Northern CA. Our local mountain gets snow when the snow level is down to 1000 feet.

I called my Mom and she was so not happy that there was snow in the Catskill Mountains where she lives. She doesn't really remember it ever snowing this early. I can't remember one either.

To live in ME or MN, yes, you would have to love snow.

Here, we drive to the snow in the Sierra Nevada to go skiing or to get the snow experience. I sure hopes we get mega snow so that our drought ends.

Usually, we try to go skiing a few times a year (more before Ben decided he didn't like to snow ski). We just are not going to be able to do it this year. We can drive there and back in one day. The lift tickets are about &60 each, the gas is outrageous and the food is not as favorable as it should be for those prices.

Well, maybe next year. But, please, let it snow here in the mountains.
